New oak frame Elizabethan E-plan house. Developed from the earlier Wealden Hall house, this formalised the oak frame structure into gabled wings and centre porch entry. We have explored the detail delight of oak frame with projecting gables, jetties, bay windows and loggias. The ground floor walls are underbuilt to the frame with two inch brickwork and the detailing round the windows reflects the craftsmanship of this period of architecture.
