Originally a tired Victorian house on the edge of the North Downs, the scheme involved a full scale extension and the re-definition of the house with a more ordered classical look. All the windows have been replaced, moved or re-sized to achieve centred proportion defined by sliding sash windows. The new wing to the rear creates a U-shaped plan form, the centre of which is filled with an orangery with lantern. This creates a balanced gabled facade to the garden.
