Rural mixture of oak board and tile on a brick plinth form the character of this off-grid woodland home, situated in the middle of a park. Surrounded by trees, view and light are captured by the classical king of windows – the sliding sash, but the choice of materials refers more to the vernacular than the classical. The house plan is very simple with central hall and 2 reception rooms each with a bay – drawing room to the west facing the sunset, kitchen to the east and the sunrise.
