The approach to this house starts on a drive higher than roof level and leads down a very steep slope. The house is on the edge of town overlooking the Ashdown Forest which presented a challenge in itself. It is a 5-bay classically ordered brick structure with arched windows, set on the edge of the slope to gain best views possible. Loggias and balconies on the forest side augment the view. The rear garden is terraced down away from the house. CLASSIC ORDER ON THE EDGE 22 STEPHEN LANGER ARCHITECTS PORTFOLIO
