Modelled in the formal Quen Anne style, this apparent 2-storey house opens up to a hall with stairs through three floors and lantern clerestory window over, revealing a hidden fourth floor. The tardis effect is created by the steep sloping site. The principal ground floor leads onto a terrace with loggia below sheltering the lower ground floor behind. Formal tree lined lawns spread away from this to an obelisk set in the landscape. There is a wing for domestic offices, workshops, study and garaging.
